What free means, in writing.

The terms for a page from Everyday Rank, in plain English. Nothing here is different from what the rest of the site says. Last updated 27 September 2026.

The short version

The page costs you nothing to get and nothing to keep. It asks one thing of you: answer one message a year saying the details are still right. If we cannot reach you after that message and two reminders, the page comes down. It also comes down when you ask, for any reason or none, within five New Zealand working days at the latest. The only thing you can pay for is changes made for you, at NZ$299 a year.

Prices are in New Zealand dollars. No GST is added. If we quoted your business a different price in writing before 22 September 2026, you get whichever is cheaper for you.

1. The free page

Our first contact is usually a short call from Sam, our AI caller. If you ask us to send it, we build the page from information that is already public about your business — your Google listing, your Facebook page, photographs that are already published. You can also ask for one through our homepage. You do not have to send us anything.
Once it is live it sits at an address of ours on everydayrank.com. It is a real, working page and you can send anyone to it. It is not your own domain name.
Changes you ask for before the page goes live are free.
It is free to have and free to keep. There is no card, no trial, and no fee that starts later.
It carries one line at the bottom saying it was built free by Everyday Rank.
We host it and we run it. Your business details — your name, trade, hours, phone number — are yours and always were. The page itself is our work.
Nobody maintains it. What we build is what stays there, so if your prices or hours change the page will not know. One exception: if we got something wrong when we built it, tell us and we correct it free, whether you pay us for anything or not.
Photographs came from what was already published about you. If any photograph should not be there, tell us and it comes off.

2. Before it goes live, and what you are agreeing to

Until you say yes, the page is not listed in search engines and it carries a line saying it is not your official site. Nothing goes live off the back of a phone call or a silence.

We ask you to reply in writing, by email, saying you want the page live and that you agree to these terms.
By saying yes you confirm that you are the owner of the business, or that you are allowed to speak for it.
You agree that we may point at your page as an example of our work, and say which business it was built for. You can withdraw that at any time by telling us, and we will stop.
You are not agreeing to buy anything, now or later. Saying yes to the free page never turns into a bill.

3. The one message a year

Once a year we send one message asking whether the details on the page are still right, and two reminders over the month after it if we do not hear back.

Answering is the only thing the free page asks of you. “Still right” is a complete answer.
If we cannot reach you after the message and both reminders, we take the page down — because a page with your name and a wrong phone number on it is worse for you than no page at all.
We use the contact details you gave us when you said yes. If they change, tell us.
If a page comes down this way and you get in touch later, say so and we will put it back up if we still have it.

4. Taking it down

Ask, and it goes, within five New Zealand working days at the latest.

You do not have to give a reason, and we will not ask for one or try to talk you out of it.
This applies whether or not you ever said yes in the first place. If we built a page you never asked for and you want it gone, tell us and it comes down from every web address it was on.
We will not contact you about it again.
We stop showing it as an example of our work at the same time.
If we hear nothing from you, it comes down anyway: a page nobody has answered us about is taken down 30 days after our last message about it.

To have a page taken down, email info@everydayrank.com, or ring 09 885 5976 (our New Zealand number, answered by Sam, our AI assistant, who takes the message). One line is enough.

5. Changes made for you — NZ$299 a year

This is the only thing you can pay us for. It is optional, and the free page does not depend on it.

Changes whenever you send them, for the whole year. New prices, new hours, a holiday closure, a service you have dropped, new photographs. You message us; we make the change, within five New Zealand working days at the latest.
You never log in to anything.
Your own domain name, registered with you listed as the owner, if the name you want is still free for anyone to register. If it is not, we will tell you and help you pick another, or you can stay on the free address.
Email on that domain.
The “built free by Everyday Rank” line comes off.
Your existing email is not moved or touched unless you ask us to.
The NZ$299 is charged only when you ask for your own domain, and only after you have seen the finished page. We send the payment request on the day you ask for it, due 7 days later. No monthly fee, no minimum term, and it does not renew itself — we ask you before a second year, and no answer means no.
This is for the changes a real business makes, not a new design every month. If what you are asking for is a different site rather than a change to this one, we will say so and tell you what it would take.

6. If you stop paying

Nothing is switched off to make you pay, and nothing is held over you.

The page goes back to being the free version, on exactly the free terms above — including the one message a year, the takedown if we cannot reach you, and the credit line going back on the bottom.
We stop making changes for you.
The domain registration stays in your name. Renewing it from then on is yours to do, and we will send you the login so you can. If you would rather let it lapse, that is your call — tell us and we will move the page back to our address so it does not disappear with the domain.
Ask any time and we will send you a copy of the site files, so you could hand the lot to anyone else.

7. What is never included

More calls, more leads, more jobs, or a position on Google. We do not promise any of these and we cannot deliver them. Whether a search engine lists your page, and where, is entirely its decision, not ours. Be careful of anyone who tells you otherwise — including anyone using our name.
Paid advertising.
Online booking, online payments, customer logins and online shops. We do not build these at any price.
Meeting you or visiting your site. Our first contact is usually a short call from Sam, our AI caller, and the call is recorded. Everything after that, including your yes and any payment, is in writing.
Writing your copy from scratch or a photo shoot. The page is built from what is already public.

8. Who you are dealing with

Everyday Rank is one person, Shan Minol. It is not an agency, there is no team, and it is not based in New Zealand. That is the main reason this costs what it costs. Apart from a first short call from Sam, our AI caller, all of it happens in writing. Sam is an AI and will say so if you ask.

If we cannot do something you need, we will say so and point you at someone who can. There is a list of the real alternatives, with the price each one publishes, on our who should build your website page.

Nothing on this page limits any right you have under New Zealand law, including the Fair Trading Act 1986 and the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

9. If these terms change

We may update this page. If we change something that affects a page already live — what it costs, what the yearly message does, or how a page is taken down — we will tell the people it affects in writing before it applies to them, not afterwards.
