Websites built for Auckland trades.

Auckland is the one part of the country where “plumber Auckland” is almost too broad to be useful — the city is big enough that West, North Shore, East and South are practically different markets, and people search that way. We build it first, from what is already public about you, and then give it to you. It costs nothing to have and nothing to keep.

Why “Auckland” on its own is not enough

With around 1.7 million people spread from Franklin to Rodney, nobody actually searches just “plumber Auckland” and calls the first result. They search by area — “electrician North Shore”, “roofer West Auckland”, “builder East Auckland” — because they know, correctly, that a trade based across the bridge or across town might take half a day to get to them.

That changes what your website needs to say. It is not enough to say “Auckland” once at the top. The suburbs and areas you actually cover need to be named plainly, because that is the exact word someone is typing before your business name ever comes up.

What actually helps in Auckland specifically

Name your real coverage area on the page — not just “Auckland-wide”, but the specific suburbs or wards, because that is what someone compares against the map result. If you cover more than one side of the bridge or the harbour, say so plainly; if you do not, saying which side you are on saves everyone a wasted call.

Beyond that, the same rule applies here as anywhere else in New Zealand: your Google Business Profile, correctly set to the suburbs you actually serve, matters more for how you show up locally than the website itself. The website is what convinces someone once they have found you.

What it costs

Nothing. We build the page from what is already public about your business and send you the link. If you want it, we put it live and you pay us nothing for it. There is no card, no trial, and no fee that starts later. It sits at an address of ours, not your own domain name, and it carries one line at the bottom saying we built it.

It asks one thing of you. Once a year we send one message asking whether the details are still right, and two reminders over the month after it. If we cannot reach you, the page comes down — a page with your name and a wrong phone number on it is worse for you than no page at all. It also comes down when you ask, for any reason or none, within five New Zealand working days at the latest, and we will not ask you why.

The only thing you can pay for is changes made for you. You message us a new price, new hours, a holiday closure or a photo of the new van, and we make the change, within five New Zealand working days at the latest. That is NZ$299 for the year, and it includes your own domain name registered in your business name and email on it. No monthly fee, no minimum term, and it does not renew itself. No GST is added. The full terms are here.

If somebody else would suit you better, we have listed every option we could find, with the price each company publishes on its own site: who should build your website.

Built from what is already public

We build the first version of your page from your Google Business Profile, your Facebook page, and anything else already public about your business, then send you the link. You look at it before anything happens. If you do not want it we take it down, you owe nothing, and we will not contact you about it again.

If you have not claimed your Google Business Profile yet, the walkthrough is here: how to claim your Google Business Profile in New Zealand.

Being straight with you: we build and host the website, not your Google Business Profile, because that needs a verified New Zealand address and we are not in New Zealand. The walkthrough above covers the whole process yourself; it takes about twenty minutes and it is free.

Common questions

Do I need a different website for each part of Auckland I cover?

No. One page naming every area you actually cover works better than several thin pages, as long as the areas are named plainly rather than buried in one line about “greater Auckland”.

Does this work for a business based outside Auckland but covering some of it?

Yes. What matters is naming the specific areas you drive to, not where your yard or workshop happens to be.

I already have a Facebook page. Do I need a website as well?

For a lot of trades, a Facebook page covers most of what people need day to day. What it does not do well is show up when someone searches your trade and town on Google rather than on Facebook, and it can look less permanent to someone checking you out before they call. We wrote the comparison up properly here: Facebook page or website, for a New Zealand trade business. If you are not showing up in a search at all — not even for your own business name — here is why, in the order it usually happens.

How fast can I see mine?

Send us your business name and the town. We will tell you honestly whether we can build one, and if we can, we email you the link to look at. There is nothing to pay at any point for the page itself.

We build the same page for plumbers, electricians, builders, roofers, landscapers, auto electricians, painters, plasterers, scaffolders, fencing contractors, gardeners and lawn care businesses, handyman businesses, tilers, concreters, gutter cleaning businesses, pest control businesses, locksmiths and glaziers, anywhere in New Zealand, not just Auckland.

Ask us to build yours.

Send us your business name and the town. We will tell you honestly whether we can build one — this is one person, so we cannot build for everyone who asks. Either way there is nothing to pay.
