A tradie website has one job: when somebody finds you, it should be easy to believe you are real and easy to ring. Here is what that takes, with a page for your trade and your city.
A blog, a chat widget, a slider, or twelve pages saying the same thing. A small site that loads quickly on a phone and says plainly what you do beats a large one nobody finishes reading.
Each page covers the same approach with that trade’s own questions: what people search, what they worry about, and what makes them ring one business rather than another.
We build the same page for businesses anywhere in New Zealand. These four pages are written for the main centres.
A website is the last of five steps, not the first. The first four cost nothing and fix most of what stops a trade business being found:
If you are not sure you need a site at all, read do I need a website for my business? For the price of one, see what a tradie website costs in New Zealand.
Your trade and the towns you cover, a phone number that can be tapped, photos of your own work, real reviews, your registration or licence number where your trade has one, and one clear way to ask for a quote. Anything beyond that should earn its place.
Some do and some can wait. If your work comes from strangers searching, or the jobs are big enough that people check you out first, yes. If your diary is full from referrals and your Google Business Profile is claimed, it can wait.
We have written that up properly in do I need a website for my business?
It depends on who builds it. Published prices range widely, and ours is a free page with changes made for you at NZ$299 a year. The cost page puts the real published prices side by side, including our competitors’.
Eighteen so far: plumbers, electricians, builders, roofers, landscapers, auto electricians, painters, plasterers, scaffolders, fencing contractors, gardeners and lawn care businesses, handyman businesses, tilers, concreters, gutter cleaning businesses, pest control businesses, locksmiths and glaziers. If yours is not on the list, send us the business name and the town anyway and we will tell you honestly whether we can build one.
Related, if it is useful: what a tradie website costs, how to claim your Google Business Profile and Facebook page or website.
Send us your business name and the town. We will tell you honestly whether we can build one, and if we can, we email you the link to look at. It costs nothing to have and nothing to keep, as long as you answer one message a year saying the details are still right.
